Mother (earthbound 0) Flailthrough - Day 3 (crackheads are frightening.)

Ok, starting off this week I guess I should admit that I asked for a hint from a friend. I know, it isn't something I like to do either, but I've noticed that enough of the game is so different that I would end up stuck if I didn't. My friend is thankfully a reader, so all he told me was that I should go and speak with the pet store man in the department store, say yes, then say no... I don't know what this did, so I guess it wasn't too bad of a cheat.

Now comes my trying to figure out where the heck I go from here.

I wander around for a while, and by a while I mean likely an hour or more, and do my best to find out where the damn hell I'm supposed to go. To be honest, I really am clueless at the moment, but I found something that is either a graveyard, or some sort of penis-shaped memorial park (note, this means a park with memorials shaped like wangs, not a park shaped like a wang).

Whose penii are we memorializing here? Best not to think about it.
So I continue searching the north for what feels like an hour, but when I look to the clock I realize is... fifty-five minutes. Oh, joy...

I make my way back to town to save and to see how much cash my father has forked out for me, and find I'm able to buy the 500 dollar weapon now, which I guess would be the Tee-Ball bat, or something, then I begin looking toward the south... And run into this.

Zombie hobo-masochist, maybe?
It's either a gorilla that's skinning itself, or some sort of frightening hobo-masochist. Either way, I manage to kill it with a bit of effort and luck, and find what I'm sure is a cemetery this time.

Yeah, that's much graveyardier.
I can tell by some of the tombstones, and having seen quite a few graveyards in my day. There's a small chapel here, and I'm sure the priest inside said something either amusing, or worrisome, or both, but as it's in Japanese, I am without a clue.

Since there's nothing here, I head out and decide to follow the wall around it to see if I can find anything, and that's when I run into this guy.

Brains... Braaains. Or possibly meeeth...
That's right, a Meth-head... Or more likely a zombie, but I think a meth addict would be a bit more frightening to run into outside of a graveyard at night. But more frightening than that is...

Inky, Blinky, Pinky, Derpy...
The Grimace! Or possibly the slow cousin of one of the ghosts from Pac-Man.

Anyway, I head along for a little while before once again realizing this is a dead end, and head back to the graveyard. It's at this point that I realize it's a hell of a lot larger than I thought, and I find what I'm sure is the right path to take... Or possibly one that will lead me to painful death, either is likely at this point.

I think Cid has an airship stowed down here.
And you likely can't make it out, but all of those are vibrating... Woo! This is the sort of place every ten year old dreams of finding! Those dreams? They're called nightmares. Since this is the end of the line, I guess I look in the boxes... now, which is the search command again?

Random unknown little girl joined the party!
Ok... What? I seem to have found a little girl in one of the coffins... Neat? But yay! She turns out to be a party member!... Though she is not any of the people I named at the start of the game, I guess that isn't so bad in the long run. A little backup from a... Level 1 little girl, is better than nothing... Right? And even though she eats half of my XP, at least she levels up quickly.

I'm not entirely sure what to do next... I did find a zoo up north, around which the monsters were small, fearsome gods of death, but I don't think I'm quite there yet. So, I'll leave it for today, and hope you all had a happy holiday!
