Romancing Saga 2: The Wight Cliffs of Toba

There's a narrow pass here with what I'm reasonably sure is a warning sign. Not that I recognize any of the kanji well enough to know, but a sign near a cliff with that many exclamation points can't be good. So guess which way I'm going!

Fascinating. The peaceful town music is still playing, but that is undeniably a plant monster. This would be a very good time to save!

Her name is Margarita, and her confusion attack takes down three of us. We come through and Enrique learns a couple decent Axe techniques, so it's probably worth it.

We start climbing vines and there's a lot of different paths to check out. This one has an octopus- last time Fritz fought those it was TPK city. But we'll give it a shot.

...I'm not sure I want to know what that Merman in the front row is doing to that crab, but they put up a hell of a fight. More LP down the drain, but we win a Skull Rod for our efforts. I'm going to have to start being more choosy- we're losing a lot of LP so far.

Or not, because we get wiped out by a bunch of vegetables, so here the hell we go again!

In the end, though, it was kind of worth it, because this time Enrique learns two entirely different Axe techs: one that hits a group and one that attempts to inflict instant death on ALL ENEMIES. We save on the spot, and tomorrow we'll try one of the other vine routes!
