Final Fantasy VI - Day 3 (My Mother Is Also Blonde... But Not At All A Machinist)

Welcome back everyone!

...magic...? Hey! She didn't set me on fire when I hit on her before- she LIKES me!
Did I mention that Edgar's never seen magic before? Tada, homie g. I'm the whole package, 16 bit swimsuit AND magic.

She used what now? I just thought there was like, a flamethrower built into... that... swimsuit. Okay yeah, that's magic.
Locke is also impressed... once everything is spelled out for him... even though he's seen me use magic a million times. Good job buddy.

...wait. Locke, you need to explain to me how you thought that would work.
Um... guys... what exactly are you planning? I don't like this... And now they pry into my back story, which seems to consist mostly of ellipses. Though not ENTIRELY of ellipses, which makes her a billion times better than Cloud and Squall. That's right, I said it. Cloud and Squall are whiny, emo, surly one dimensional characters with no draw beyond their cool looking weapons and how girl pretty Squenix made them AFTER they got better graphics engines. Deal with it.

Romancing Saga 2: Avalon, 1503 AD.

Okay, so here are our choices for ruler of Avalon. Teri is of the line of ZA DORAGON, Medea is a "Free Fighter," the female equivalent of Orion's class. Kuwawa is a "Hunter," presumably from the Savannah, and Audrey is a female version of whatever Richard was. Medea and Audrey have the most LP, and Medea is the best-rounded, already having both MP and Skill Points.

All hail Queen Medea!

Romancing Saga 2: Time Marches On

Well, I discovered one thing: if you can see the world map, you can go back to any place that you control, if not every place you visited. So I could've gotten out of the Savannah a lot earlier if I tried. And Georg, Toma and their sister Wossname would probably all be alive now. Oh well.

So I decide to tackle the mine next to Tifarr. If I can make it through, there's treasure to collect that I didn't make it out with alive last time. So far, we lost a couple LP, but both from people who had more than one, luckily. Well, Richard doesn't NOW, but that's the way it goes. If we pick and choose our fights, we can make it.

Romancing Saga 2: Miles and Miles

I beat the bosses this time, and am treated to an earthquake!

Then I'm back outside, the cave is sealed, and the area's clear of the lethal enemies I had to try and run around to get into the cave. I head back to Nerack, Forfer and Douglas- no change. So I guess Fritz... kinda... destroyed a whole kingdom? To compound our problems, Orion's down to 3LP, so I'm working with an entire party of walking wounded, again.

Romancing Saga 2: Worming our way into Cumberland.

So right now, the most I can say for Cumberland is that Fritz has scratched "Ghosts" and "Ghosts of Princes" off of his Things I Have Kicked list. I head down to the Great Wall to look around, and I find a path to the right before the one-way door.

Huh, a hole. Wonder if this was where I was supposed to go when I got sidetracked into saving the Savannah from termites? Either way it's crawling with demons and dragons and snakes. Oh my. And the stuff here can do 1100 damage to us!

Good Morning, Flailthroughs Shoppers!

For US gamers, Toys R Us has a wonderful sale going until March 19th: Buy either of the Gen V Pokemon games at the SRP of $34.99, get a select DS game for $10. Games on the list include Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded, a couple Pokemon Mystery Dungeon titles, and Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation. Guess which one I'm going to get?

Romancing Saga 2: Oops.

So the first thing I do, is go back to Cumberland to see if Toma ever turned up. If not I'd better go looking again.

Final Fantasy VI - Day 2 (In Which I Ghetto Some More Names)

As it turns out, I have discovered hiragana, and Locke's name is now Shi-zero-kureyo. AWESOME. So thus begins the epic adventures of Hi-one-kamu and Shi-zero-kureyo... or at the very least the epic level grinding. I'm not sure what to do right now, since I don't read Japanese, so I'm just... kinda wandering around in circles here punching rabbites, and whatever the birds are called. Good times.

In any event, I find that I can't, in fact, poke around Narshe, so I head out to the wide world and level grind. Once Tina and Locke are both level 10, I head into the desert castle of what I'm pretty sure is Figaro to have a poke around there. The reason I do this is simple... I can't get into the cave further down. See how that works? Can't crawl through a dungeon, hit up the nearest town. Ta da.
