Final Fantasy VI - Day 23 (In which I DIDN'T make the knee-jerk sexist joke that came to mind)

Alright, so today we'll be scraping Celes up off the ground, and praying that we don't get hit with any status effects that will give us a game over... You may have noticed that we're using the collective personal pronoun... well we've got a mouse in our pocket, so shut up...

No, really I don't. I'm just weird. Anyway, I'd like to note that, while pretty much all of the monsters are palette swaps, they've been given a bit of a power boost, which is kind of detrimental when there's only ONE person in your party for them to attack. Luckily a Genji Glove helps up the damage, and I continue on my merry way. It's not very scenic around here, but what can you expect when the world has ended? Hm... This looks important:

You'd think he'd go for the bright colors or flashing lights or something. Nihilism and decoration don't mix, I guess.
Can't imagine what it could poooooooossibly be though~ *cough*finaldungeon*cough*

Romancing Saga 2: We're Going to Need Another Timmy

Well, we must've done something good- the volcano is now free of monsters. Good thing- we need to snooze and get our tech points back. Zemio's inaccessible again, but Tsukijima is once again populated. But nothing else obvious happens, so I guess it's time to visit the wizard's tower again

Romancing Saga 2: Cracking the Volcano Case

I talk to the guy in the other house, and the town is suddenly empty. Since the last thing he said to me was "Hai!" I suspect I told them to get to safety while I take care of this. I'm thinking I maybe went back to Zemio and the volcano too soon yesterday...

Romancing Saga 2: But, is there Chicken in the Barn?

So yesterday I found out that there's trouble at the Komuruun Volcano, and so I'm going to march right up there and see what's happening. Because we're adventurers, and thus don't know enough to be walking away from whatever the danger may happen to be. Seems to me the first thing to do is visit the ice wizard's tower...

...which is now full of monsters. GREAT.

Romancing Saga 2: Avalon, 1971

And so ends the long, meandering reign of King Ferdinand. It kind of bugs me that he wasn't able to defeat Wagnas himself, but I know that this will be a high priority for his descendants. And here are our choices!

We have a Bear-type named Bison, a Medea named Andromeda, a Henry named Edward, and a Jubei named Shusaku.

Shusaku has the second-highest LP of the group, but considering how damn hard it was to kill Jubei, he seems like a good choice for ruler.

Romancing Saga 2: Retirement at Last

Nice place, now that I can get into it. A few buildings in the center and one off to the side.

This guy looks recruitable, but whatever I'd have to do to make that happen hasn't occurred yet. One of them mentions Cumberland, and I have to take this as a bad sign considering.

Final Fantasy VI - Day 22 (In which the Kefkas are dancing again)

We're still on the floating continent, we just killed Mid Boss the Horn Freak, and Shadow left us... WHY DOESN'T HE LOVE US ANYMORE?!?!? *cough* Anyway, I take my party of three, and continue up the stairs to see what happens next. Oh...
